(Spring 2017)

For this project I was given the task of choosing two designers, three songs and creating cover art for songs we made from taking pieces of the different songs. We were given no rules to follow, except that each of the covers must work in a somewhat cohesive matter. I chose to get experimental with the typography and try to create an interesting flow of words and images to make the compositions. This was influenced by Paula Scher's posters for the Public Theatre and how the typography in it created images in itself when looked at closely. The breaking of typography rules was influenced by David Carson and how he was never properly taught the rules but makes it work in a beautiful way.
